Martin Warszawski

artin is a recent grad from ACAD. This animation was recently unveiled as part of the GIRAF Animation Festival. In Martin's words "This is an animation that I produced for a three month residency called the "Quicktrack" program. We were employed to create an animation that functions as a loop, is at least 90 seconds, and will be projected at a large scale. I was inspired by classic Japanese movies and graffiti art. After completion 6 Degrees sound studio scored the sound."

Jillian Tamaki

ast week was Illustration Week in New York (which should be expanded to the rest of us). One of New York's finest illustrators is Jillian Tamaki, a grad of ACAD. Visit Jillian's SKETCHBLOG to catch up on the wonderful things she is up to, including a hand sewn series of book covers for Penguin Classics, the cover for this years Best American Comics Series, and recently the Library of Congress acquired some of her work - which is pretty cool to say the least.

Thomas Porostocky

rom ACAD grad Thomas Porostocky's website: Previously the creative lead at the magazines I.D. and Seed, I currently run a multi-disciplinary studio here in New York City. While ever flexible, the work focuses mostly on art-direction, identity/branding, and infographics. Some of my career highlights include being included in Print Magazine's Top 20 Under 30 selection, getting the chance to captain the highly respected I.D. magazine, and having my work included in a Milton Glaser book and exhibit. Multi-disciplinary is a very apt description for Thomas, check out his range of creative endeavors on his website: porostocky.prosite.com

Byron Eggenschwiler

yron's been a busy illustrator of late for clients such as The New York Times and the National Post, but he has taken the time to post some great new work. This ninja illustration is one of my personal favorite illustrations of the year. What could be better than being hired to draw a ninja - maybe having such a great concept too! Visit his site here: http://www.byronegg.com. Also if you are walking through the main mall at ACAD try to pick out his student work in the current ACAD Illustration and Character Design Exhibition.
