Nic Wassill

Nic is a 4th year Character Design and Animation grad at ACAD. His work incorporates a wide variety of methods and techniques including 2d and 3d graphics, motion capture, handmade 3d sculpture, green screen, and other computer and traditional methods of communication. Brad Yeo

Brad Yeo was recently awarded a Gold Medal from The Society of Illustrators in New York in the advertising category. The winning illustration was commissioned for The Founders' Gallery at the Military Museums in Calgary.

CHELSEA CARDINAL IS AN ACAD GRAD. After starting her design and illustration career in Calgary she made the leap to New York where she landed a coveted intern position at GQ Magazine. Under the direction of iconic creative director Fred Woodward, Chelsea’s career has taken off and she now holds an art director position at GQ. Her work has earned her recognition from many places including the Society of Publication Designers and Communication Arts Magazine. In addition to her work at GQ, Chelsea has a freelance illustration practice and this past year launched a clothing line “Alle Vögel”.

Chelsea will talk about being a Canadian living in New York and satisfying many creative masters. Her presentation will delve into her experience at GQ and what it is like to work for one of North America’s most renowned creative directors and publications.
