Former ACAD visual communications design department instructor passed away last Sunday march 14, 2010.
Some older VC(D) graduates (such as myself) might remember Royston as an instructor at ACAD, teaching illustration and graphic design. My memories of Royston were of a lively and enthusiastic english fellow, it was from him that I learned the value of books. I remember him bringing a mountain of books into class to visually inspire - and it did the trick for me.
